How do I stop the crown looking like grass?
Attach a small number of strong pointed leaves to the top of the fruit. Let the leaves fan outward without creating a very wide unrelated tuft.
Does pineapple pixel art need a diamond pattern?
A sparse diagonal pattern can help, but the body and crown should read without it. Too many dark diamonds can make the fruit look like a wire mesh.
What kind of motion does the pineapple GIF show?
