More charger wattage is useful when your current charger limits a charging mode your phone or tablet can actually use. Choose the device’s supported input and protocol first, then check the cable and any shared-port reduction. A 65W label alone does not establish a faster result than a compatible lower-rated charger for your device.
Define the charging window you want to improve
A short top-up before leaving and an overnight session are different goals. Record the exact device model and the time window that currently falls short. If the device already reaches the level you need before use, a higher number may not change that practical result.
Apple’s model-specific fast-charge requirements illustrate why one wattage rule is insufficient: the current guidance names 20W-or-higher adapters for iPhone Air and 17e, while the iPhone 17/17 Pro family’s faster stated case uses 40W or higher. Other models have their own requirements. This is not a universal recommendation for all phones or tablets.
Check the limiting part of the charging chain
Read the manufacturer’s requirement for the exact device and desired wired or wireless mode. Match the charger’s output profile and cable capabilities. USB-IF explains why cables have different capabilities; a connector shape alone does not settle power compatibility.
Also check the combination you use. Apple notes multiport charging can reduce available output depending on connected devices and conditions. Its guidance also describes app use and temperature as charging-speed factors. A slower result is not automatically evidence that the charger’s headline wattage is too low.
Treat a higher-rated charger as capacity, not a speed result
Choose a candidate with the required protocol and port allocation for the actual session. A larger total may be useful for several devices even when it adds no single-phone speed. Keep these two reasons to upgrade separate.

The Divoom Dipow-65W charger is currently described with two USB-C ports and one USB-A sharing up to 65W. It is a candidate when that documented arrangement fits your devices. The shared maximum does not verify every phone’s fastest protocol, a particular tablet’s input or a promised charge time.

Compare Divoom charging options using the required device profile and actual multiport case. If a critical specification is missing, obtain it before purchasing rather than inferring it from “fast charger.”
Compare the part of the session that matters
For a personal comparison, use the same device, similar starting charge, the same target level, suitable cables and comparable app activity and room conditions. Record elapsed time and any charging hold. Do not compare one charger from nearly empty with another near full, or multiply a short top-up result into a full-charge claim.
For an audio device left charging at the desk, review the charging stages and indicators for that task. Upgrade when the verified combination improves a real constraint; retain a compatible working supply when the larger rating adds nothing you need.
