Divoom FlowToo Review: Sleep Sounds, Alarms and Bedside Music

Written by Divoom Professional Team

Updated on

The Divoom FlowToo is built around a daily routine: play music, choose a background sound for winding down and set an alarm for the morning. After using it for over a week, RaavMedia’s strongest praise is that these jobs feel at home in one compact device beside the bed.

This July 2026 review focuses on that lived-in experience rather than a long feature checklist. The speaker’s radio-inspired shape, small display and accessible controls help explain the attraction, but the important details are how its sounds, alarms and inputs fit together.

A personal speaker with a warm, relaxed presentation

RaavMedia begins with the sound, describing it as warm and balanced for a bedside speaker. The review includes a music sample later in the video, with the speaker playing beside a phone. His judgment is about a personal listening space: music, podcasts and ambience close to the desk or bed.

That scale matters when interpreting his enthusiasm. He presents the FlowToo as a small everyday sound companion, rather than a speaker chosen to cover a party. The benefit is having enjoyable audio within reach in the places where you spend quiet time.

Choose sleep sounds that suit the room

The sleep-sound library is one of the main reasons he keeps using it. He describes more than 90 choices, including rain, ocean waves, a fan, forest ambience and an airplane cabin. He then plays several built-in examples, so the review shows a sound-selection experience rather than merely repeating the library size.

Ambient light and screen scenes accompany the audio. The practical choice is the combination you find comfortable: a familiar steady hum, a nature sound or music, with a display brightness that suits the room. RaavMedia also uses low-key sound and timers during daytime editing and work sessions, giving the same device a second place in the day.

He reports that one overnight ambient-sound session used only about 15% of the battery. That is a useful observation from his own week of use, not a standardized runtime figure. Volume, lighting and the chosen activity were not documented well enough to turn it into a guaranteed number of hours.

Bluetooth is one option; the side ports add others

For phone audio, the review shows music playing from an iPhone over Bluetooth. A memory card and USB-C audio are also identified as source options, with a mode button for switching between them. This gives the speaker a route for everyday phone playback and alternatives for locally supplied audio.

A rubber flap opens to reveal USB-C and the TF card slot. The USB-C connection is used for charging as well as the USB audio mode described in the review. Seeing the ports is useful if your intended routine includes leaving a music card in the speaker rather than always starting playback on a phone.

The alarm offers a gentler way to start the morning

RaavMedia’s waking-up experience is another central part of his recommendation. He describes the light fading in and the alarm sound increasing gradually. The active alarm screen in the demonstration gives separate Stop and Snooze choices, making the morning interaction easy to understand.

He also points to several alarm sounds and the option to record a personal voice, music or sound. That provides a different kind of customization from changing the clock artwork: the device can sound familiar as well as look personal. His positive reaction is a report of his own morning routine, rather than a promise that every person will prefer the same alarm.

Use the app for artwork and the hardware for everyday adjustments

The app brings together clock faces, animations, alarms and sounds. RaavMedia browses community artwork beside the speaker, describing the ability to use those designs without a separate purchase. You can also create your own work, while the gallery gives you a starting point if drawing is not your interest.

The physical controls cover the adjustments you are likely to repeat. The top dial changes volume and clicks to play or pause. Nearby buttons handle source selection, sleep sounds and timing. On the side, the power button can also lock the keys, and the supplied wrist loop has its own attachment point.

The orange front control is a joystick for menus and settings, with a back button and a separate brightness button alongside it. RaavMedia opens the timer menu using those controls. A dedicated brightness adjustment is particularly relevant beside a bed, where reaching for a phone just to change the screen can interrupt the routine.

Who is the FlowToo a good fit for?

The review makes its strongest case for someone who expects to use music, ambient sound and an alarm in the same space. RaavMedia likes that one object replaces several separate parts of his bedside setup, and the controls let him use its basic functions without opening the app every time.

His recommendation comes from about a week of personal use in a bedside and desk setting. Choose it for that combination of nearby music, background sounds and a personalized morning alarm. The demonstrations explain why he keeps it within reach, while the overnight battery observation remains one example of how he used it.
