Divoom Tiivoo-2 Review: AI Artwork, Clock Faces and an Indoor FM Test

Written by Divoom Professional Team

Updated on

NL Tech’s Divoom Tiivoo-2 review moves from a miniature television’s physical controls to a custom seaside image generated in the app. Along the way, the FM tuner finds no usable station in the indoor test location, and one community design cannot be downloaded because of its creator’s settings.

Those results make NL Tech’s walkthrough more useful than a simple list of features. It shows where the little screen and controls feel immediately understandable, where the app adds something distinctive and which parts of the experience depend on reception or content permissions.

The TV shape contains working knobs and a joystick

The Divoom Tiivoo-2 keeps its old-fashioned television appearance at a scale small enough for a desk. The controls are part of that appearance, but they also handle useful jobs: volume, play/pause, menu navigation and switching among selected screens.

NL Tech initially finds the joystick changing tracks, then distinguishes left/right playback actions from up/down face switching. Pressing the menu control opens another layer of functions. That discovery helps explain why someone may need a short familiarization period even though the front looks simple.

The unit’s initial language setting also surprises the reviewer. Finding settings is part of the early navigation rather than a polished tutorial with everything preconfigured. This gives the first-use section a practical value: the hardware controls can do several jobs, and their context matters.

FM radio is real hardware, but reception is local

The telescopic antenna is functional. NL Tech opens the radio interface, explores tuning and frequency-range choices, and tries to find a working station. The test location is inside a concrete-heavy building, which the reviewer identifies as a difficult reception environment.

No usable station is demonstrated there. That result should neither be hidden nor expanded into a claim that the radio never works. It is an unsuccessful FM reception test in that location. If radio is the main purchase reason, the placement where you plan to use it matters as much as the existence of a tuner.

The music menu also lists Bluetooth, TF-card and USB-audio routes. Those are different source arrangements. The review begins with phone-connected music, while the menu tour identifies other available inputs rather than testing every cable, card or file format.

Local timers and tools give the screen another purpose

NL Tech opens the focus timer and explains a work period followed by a break. The interval settings provide a way to keep a session visible on a separate object, which may be useful if a person already likes timed work or reading.

The alarm menu includes time, repetition, sound and volume choices. The video explores these settings rather than conducting an overnight alarm-reliability test. That is enough to understand the interface without treating a menu demonstration as proof of a personal sleep outcome.

The tools section includes a stopwatch, countdown, scoreboard and a brief voice-message interaction. A sound-responsive display changes while the reviewer speaks. These are compact extras; the presence of a microphone does not by itself prove a completed hands-free calling test.

The reviewer explicitly does not spend the session playing through the games. Their menu presence is part of the product’s range, but the completed AI-image example later provides stronger evidence of what actually happens when a new piece of content is created.

Ambient sound can be timed independently of the clock face

The white-noise area offers background sounds with a duration setting. A session can be arranged for a chosen period rather than left running indefinitely. The small screen provides a visible place to review that choice.

For someone choosing decorative Bluetooth speakers, this adds a reason to keep the device nearby after the music stops. It can provide a background soundtrack and a clock without occupying the main computer screen. Whether a particular sound feels pleasant remains a personal preference, not a medical claim.

The phone app repeats many of these controls on a larger interface. That can be easier for adjusting a set of values, while the physical controls remain useful for quick changes once a preferred setup is in place.

The seaside prompt produces a visible result

The AI-art section is a completed workflow in this review. NL Tech enters a seaside aerial-view idea, starts generation and then shows the resulting artwork on the phone and Tiivoo-2.

The value is easy to understand: an owner can explore an image idea without drawing every pixel manually. The result still needs to be judged on the little screen, because an attractive phone preview and an effective desk image are not always the same composition.

This also distinguishes generated artwork from the stock photos seen earlier. A sample album shows the hardware can display a picture. A new prompt creates content tied to the owner’s chosen subject, even if the exact result remains unpredictable.

Clock faces and community designs have different controls

NL Tech chooses another clock style and sees it appear on the device. The app’s focus-timer section also uses a tomato-related label, which the reviewer connects with the familiar Pomodoro idea. The useful distinction is between choosing a persistent clock appearance and starting an interval-based activity.

In the community gallery, a shark design successfully reaches the screen. Another selection cannot be downloaded because its author has disabled that action. The restriction is attached to that content; it should not become an assumption that every gallery item can be freely copied or reused.

These examples show why a large library is only the starting point. The owner still chooses which work fits the display and follows the available controls and permissions. A small set of useful favorites can be more practical than repeatedly browsing everything.

A decorative desk companion with useful playback choices

The review finishes with a music demonstration and a positive overall assessment. NL Tech sees Tiivoo-2 as an auxiliary desk display, a speaker when wanted and a portable object that can be moved away from the computer. The radio is an extra the reviewer personally uses less.

The Divoom Tiivoo-2 makes sense if the miniature TV appearance, clock customization and music belong in the same purchase for you. The failed indoor FM search is particularly relevant if broadcasting is your priority; the successful generated-art example is more relevant if personalization is the attraction.

As checked on October 23, 2026, code NLTECH is active for 15% off this model in the official store. The source mentions 10%; the current store configuration is 15% with no minimum purchase requirement. It is limited to one use per customer and does not combine with product, order or shipping discounts. Confirm current eligibility and the final total at checkout.

The official Tiivoo-2 manual provides the exact control and source reference. The original NL Tech review includes the indoor tuning attempt, image-generation result and listening segment behind this assessment.
