Crocodile Pixel Art: Long Snouts, Low Bodies & Reptile Characters

Crocodile pixel art benefits from a long snout and a low body. Compare cartoons, face studies and more detailed reptile shapes while preserving the jaw opening and tail curve.

Crocodile pixel art questions

How can I distinguish a crocodile-inspired shape from an alligator?

For a simplified cartoon, a longer narrower snout can help suggest a crocodile, while an alligator-inspired head can be broader. A stylized drawing is not a precise identification guide.

Why do the teeth disappear?

They are too thin or too close together for the sampled grid. Use fewer larger shapes separated by the dark jaw opening.

How do I fit a long crocodile into 128 × 128?

Choose a gently curved tail, an overhead view or generous padding around a side view. Avoid squeezing the long body into a square.

Choose a shape for your crocodile

Fit the snout and tail together before adding scale marks.
