Hedgehog Pixel Art: Tiny Spines & Rounded Woodland Shapes

Start with an oval back and a small pointed muzzle. A few large triangular spine groups can identify a hedgehog more clearly than dozens of single-pixel spikes.

Hedgehog pixel art questions

How do I stop the spines becoming noisy?

Group them into a few uneven clusters along the back. Keep the interior quieter and reserve the strongest contrast for the silhouette and the face.

Why does the hedgehog look like a porcupine?

Shorten the visible spikes and keep the body low and rounded. A compact muzzle and tiny feet support the small woodland character.

What moves in the hedgehog GIF?

The whole licensed illustration gently bobs. It is a locally assembled eight-frame loop, not a claim that the limbs, mouth or wings move independently. Keep the same canvas and padding when making a similar loop.

Make room for your hedgehog shape

Draw a spine silhouette, not separate needles. Start with the silhouette, then add only the details that remain readable at the final size.
