Puppy Pixel Art: Big Paws & Small Dog Characters

A puppy can have oversized paws and a large head, but still needs a clear canine muzzle. Keep the ears distinct from the cheeks so the head does not become a round ball.

Puppy pixel art questions

How do I make it look young without huge eyes?

Use a larger head relative to the body, a shorter muzzle and slightly oversized paws. The proportions can communicate age without filling the face with eyes.

Why do the paws merge into the belly?

Their colors or outlines are too similar. Leave a small dark edge or background gap between the front feet and chest.

What moves in the puppy GIF?

The whole licensed illustration gently bobs. It is a locally assembled eight-frame loop, not a claim that the limbs, mouth or wings move independently. Keep the same canvas and padding when making a similar loop.

Make room for your puppy shape

Let the paws support a smaller body. Start with the silhouette, then add only the details that remain readable at the final size.
