Make the upper bill visibly curved and keep the head substantial. A tiny pointed triangular beak removes one of the strongest parrot cues.
Assign a few large color regions to the head, wing and tail. Save small highlights for the face rather than scattering them over every edge.
The whole licensed illustration gently bobs. It is a locally assembled eight-frame loop, not a claim that the limbs, mouth or wings move independently. Keep the same canvas and padding when making a similar loop.
Draw the hooked bill as one clear shape. Start with the silhouette, then add only the details that remain readable at the final size.
