Whale Pixel Art: Water Spouts, Long Bodies & Ocean Characters

A whale can be a tiny round character, a long swimming profile or a soft waterline portrait. Compare different body shapes while keeping the tail connection and pale belly readable.

Whale pixel art questions

Why does my whale look like a fish?

Keep the broad body and horizontal tail-fluke construction visible. A very narrow body with a small triangular tail may read as a generic fish.

How much of a water spout should I include?

Use a small connected shape with space around it. Preserve the whale body and face first; the spout should explain the scene rather than take most of the canvas.

Should every whale use the same head shape?

No. The licensed studies include rounded cartoon heads and longer natural profiles. Keep the chosen source construction consistent instead of forcing all of them into one oval.

Try your own whale design

Narrow the body slightly before it widens into the tail flukes. Start with that shape in the pixel art maker.
